Crostini with Ricotta and Frescobene Amatriciana Sauce

The perfect appetizer bursting with flavor. A true crowd pleaser!

Serves 4-5


  • 1 baguette, sliced ¼ in. thick

  • Olive oil

  • 1 to 2 garlic cloves, cut in half crosswise

  • 1 c. ricotta cheese

  • 1-10 oz. pouch Frescobene Amatriciana Sauce, thawed or heated 

  • salt and pepper to taste


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

1. Place bread slices on cookie sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.   Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly toasted, flipping bread half way through. Remove from oven and rub each slice of bread with a garlic clove half.

2. Mix ricotta with salt and pepper to taste.

3. Top each bread slice with ricotta and then top with dollop of Frescobene Amatriciana Sauce and serve.

Chef’s Note: 

You may want to consider using other crusted breads such as a fresh Italian ciabatta.   Substitute Frescobene Amatriciana Sauce with Frescobene Sausage Ragu to be make this treat truly decadent!
