Frescobene Sausage Ragu Baked Pasta

Serves 5-6.


  • 1-20oz. pouch Frescobene Sausage Ragu

  • 1 lb. ziti (or similar size pasta)

  • 2 c. grated mozzarella cheese

  • 1 c. grated parmesan (preferably Parmigiana Reggiano)

  • 8 oz. ricotta cheese (optional)

  • salt


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

1.  Place sauce pouch in large pot of boiling water and prepare according to package

2.  Remove pouch (with tongs) and add pasta to salted water and cook until slightly underdone - pasta will finish cooking in oven

3.  Drain pasta and combine with sauce (if you like a creamier pasta bake, add the ricotta cheese as well)

4. Pour into a greased 9”x13” dish, and top with mozzarella and ½ cup of the parmesan

5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, removing foil after 30 minutes

6.  When done, let pasta rest for 5 minutes and then serve with remaining parmesan
