Italian Eggs in Purgatory

This easy dish can really be eaten any time of day, and can be prepared in about 10 minutes. Top with diced chilis for a spicy treat!

Serves 2-3


  • 10 oz. Frescobene Amatriciana Sauce, thawed

  • 4 eggs

  • 4 slices toasted Italian bread

  • Salt and Pepper to taste


1.  Heat Amatriciana sauce in skillet and make "well" in sauce.

2.  Crack eggs into well and add salt and pepper.

3.  Cover pan and cook until whites are set and yokes are runny.

Top with chilis or herbs for extra flavor.  Serve with toasted Italian bread.
